What we do

We provide humanitarian assistance to the population of Kazakhstan while maintaining respect for human dignity.

Disaster risk reduction and emergency response

Every year, more than 10,000 emergencies and incidents of man-made and natural origin are registered in Kazakhstan. The Red Crescent of Kazakhstan develops a system of community disaster preparedness through mitigation activities, public training, volunteer preparation, and the creation of reserve stocks. During emergencies, we provide emergency humanitarian assistance to the affected population.

Combating food vulnerability

Every day, many people find themselves in situations from which they are unable to get out on their own. According to the Bureau of National Statistics (2024), on average, 5% of our fellow citizens have incomes below the subsistence minimum. Within the framework of the “Kind Parcels” and “FoodBank” projects, we provide food support to the most vulnerable groups.

Support for mothers raising children under 3 years old on their own

The number of women raising children without a partner is increasing in the country; they often face financial difficulties and social isolation. The “Only Mom” project helps mothers receive basic support — food, baby products, legal and psychological consultations

Center for people with visual disabilities

The Center was created to increase the independence and social integration of people with visual disabilities through training in computer and mobile application usage skills. Independent online payment of services, use of navigation for moving around the city, and many other everyday life activities become accessible to the Center’s students.
